Anthony Humphrey Count was born in Fordham on 14th June 1923 (Cambridge Q2-1923 3B:740), baptised in Fordham on 3rd March 1924, son of Richard Roydon and Lily COUNT (née BOWERS), of Carter Street, Fordham.
Anthony had a younger brother Rodney and sisters Miriam and Theresa. The 1939 register has his parents at Chippenham Road, Fordham with Theresa and 3 closed records.



The 20th April 1944 was the day of the relief of Kohima, and important stage in the Battle of Imphal. The 1st Northants had 9 killed that day
